How Pick'em works
It's free and just for fun. MFL Coins are fake. They can't be bought, sold or traded for anything.
Coins
Everyone starts with 1,000 coins. If you drop under 50 with no open bets, you can claim a 500 coin bailout from My bets.
Placing bets
Tap any odds button to add it to your bet slip, choose how much to bet and hit Place bet. One pick is a single. Two or more picks become a parlay: every pick has to hit, but the odds multiply. Parlays can have up to 10 picks and can mix games. Within one game you can only take one "who wins" style pick (winner, margin or shutout).
Reading odds
+150 means a 100 coin bet wins 150 more. −200 means you bet 200 to win 100. Odds come from each team's and player's real stats and update as the season goes.
When bets close and pay
Only the next game is open for picks. Picks lock at 12:31 PM, 4 minutes before kickoff, and the following game opens right away. Bets pay out as soon as the final score is posted. If a score gets corrected, bets re-settle automatically. Postponed games are refunded (a parlay just drops that pick). A tie counts as a loss for "win" bets.
Why there are no unders
Every bet is on something happening: a team winning, scoring a lot, a player scoring or getting a pick. There are no bets on a team scoring less or a player not scoring, so nobody can cash in by playing badly on purpose.
The spread
The favorite has to win by more than the line (-13.5, so by 14 or more). The underdog +13.5 wins the bet if they win or lose by 13 or less. Who's the favorite is based on every past game, exhibitions included. Every spread is 13.5 (favorite -13.5, underdog +13.5), so there are no ties.
Player props
Player bets count what's in the box score. If a play isn't recorded, it doesn't count.
